What is a uProfile?
A uProfile is a blog post dedicated to highlighting the profile and experiences of an Umbraco community member. Each member of the community has unique and meaningful stories, and this is where we tell them.
We want to recognize the people who are doing amazing work in the community - creating packages, arranging meetups, making contributions to the core, helping others etc. and to represent the diversity of the community - from the newbies to the ones with several Umbraco years already in the bag. From the package creators to someone who’s just had their first pull request accepted. Truth is, everyone in the community is super important to Umbraco, and uProfile is a great way of showcasing that you can contribute and be active in the community on various levels. And a great way for us to simply say “Thank you!”
We offer the community members themselves the opportunity to nominate someone they would love to see featured. When we brought uProfile back in January 2018, we asked the community to send us their nominations which we chose from for the months from February to May 2018.
Each month, a new uProfile is selected from the nominations’ list and featured in our monthly Umbraco newsletter, uNews.
The lucky Umbracian chosen to be featured is contacted 2-3 weeks before a new uNews issue and given 1 week to answer a list of questions we believe will help the community know more about the amazing person behind all those great contributions.
How do I nominate someone for uProfile?

You can also nominate yourself. We, as well, get to add to the nominations’ list if we are lucky enough to identify some ‘silent’ contributors.
