Meet the Umbraco Community Docs Team 2025! 💙

Open source is all about collaboration,  and we're excited to introduce the team of amazing community contributors who have stepped up to help update and review the Umbraco documentation!

After a fantastic round of applications (thank you! That was really overwhelming🙌), we’ve put together a passionate team of developers, writers, and Umbraco enthusiasts who will work closely with Umbraco HQ to update, improve, and modernize areas of the docs. The Docs Team 2025 will be active throughout the year, reviewing, updating, validating the docs, and contributing with their knowledge, ideas, and real-world experience -  and we’re thrilled to introduce them today! 🎉

But this isn’t an isolated project.

We’ve set up a GitHub Project Board on the Umbraco Docs repo listing all the articles we aim to review and update before the release of Umbraco 17 - and we’re hoping for your input! If you spot an article concerning the new frontend architecture that’s missing or think a specific topic could use a fresh pair of eyes, we’re wide open for your suggestions. Everyone is welcome to contribute ideas and help guide the work ahead.

💡 Quick note: This initiative is focused on reviewing and improving existing documentation, not on rethinking the overall structure of the Umbraco docs site. That’s a separate (and exciting!) challenge we aim to explore in 2026.

And with that, please give a warm community welcome to the Community Docs Team 2025! 👏💙

Busra

Büşra Sengul

Büşra is a long-standing member of the Umbraco community and has been an Umbraco MVP since 2021. She was in the original docs team and already a Core Collaborators member, so she knows her stuff!

Hailing originally from the sunny climate of Turkiye, and now residing in the less-than-sunny climate of South West England, she loves to travel, learn new things, dance, and eat! When it comes to Umbraco, she loves the community and is always looking for ways to give back, including running the Turkiye User Group and creating packages, so being part of the Docs team was the next logical step.

When she's not working, Büşra is an avid reader, easily breaking 200 books a year (I know, right?), or out tearing up the dance floor with her Salsa and bachata skills! As one of the most welcoming people, she loves to meet new people, so if you see her at any events, go say "hi" and drop some cool new facts into the conversation!

Michael

Michael Latouche

Michael is a freelance web developer based in Brussels, and he has been building websites for more than 20 years. His most recent roles as technical lead and lead developer on several important websites for the Belgian railways have made him very familiar with writing technical documentation or user guides, as well as writing code reviews for his fellow colleagues.

Michaël has been following Umbraco since 2009, and he is a 5-time Umbraco MVP. Over the years, he has been contributing whenever he could and in many different ways. A few years ago, he joined the Umbraco Core Collaborators Team, where he reviews and merges contributions from the Umbraco Community all around the world. He was a speaker at Codegarden 21 and 22 and has been co-hosting the Codegarden Hackathon since 2023. He has also written several articles for Skrift and is co-organizer of the Belgian Umbraco User Group meetups.

In his spare time, you will find him following his 3 kids' basketball teams, working around the family house or enjoying a family bicycle ride.

Luuk

Luuk Peters

I'm a senior .NET developer at Proud Nerds, a digital agency based in the Netherlands. From the moment I wrote my first lines of code, I knew I wanted to build a career in development. My professional journey began with .NET 1.1 and Visual Studio 2003, and I’ve been building ever since. I was introduced to Umbraco with version 4, and it quickly became our CMS of choice. Since then, I’ve worked extensively with Umbraco, watching it evolve into the powerful and flexible platform it is today. What I enjoy most is developing custom Umbraco extensions and packages that enhance the editor experience and unlock new possibilities for content management.
